My Great Wall Adventure

Ever since I was in..hhhmmm maybe high school, na-amazed nako sa history. Ancient history, like yung greek Gods, mga tribe -tribe, yung mga warrioirs sa Japan and of course my dynasty sa Tsina hehe. Pati wonders of the world. Tas ayan syempre included dyan ang Great Wall of China. Believe it or not pero madalas ako manuod ng Discovery Channel lalu na pag history ng blah blah, mga crime investigations, mga wild animals kaya siguro I can't swim alone, pool man or beach kasi kakanuod ng shark shark na yan hehe.

Anyhoo It's been awhile since my last post here. Got into a ordeal kasi nhaks pero I'm alright now. Ayun na nga nung nag punta ako sa Great Wall for a flight, Chinese holiday ata for 5 days kaya surprise napaka daming tao, parang people power ang eksena haha ang catch dito is almost everyone is chinese. We were like "huh?" why? kasi parang hindi pa ba nila napupuntahan ito? eh di ba taga dito sila? parang Luneta, syempre hindi na dudumugin ng Pinoyski yun kasi siguro naman nakapunta na halos lahat dun... well except for me but still di ba? Kainis dinala ko pa naman tripod ko mag pipicture picture sana ako but no I did not kasi baka mawala or mabunggo sya agad.

May two route sa Great Wall and both are really high, kaya naman hiningal ako kasi sobrang vertical nung way plus ang lamig pa so kulang nalang hikain ako haha and I can't stop because maiiwanan ako ng mga collegue ko na parang hindi napapagod. But the site was so amazing! ang ganda grabe and infairness well preserve yung part na napuntahan namin. Panay imagine nga ako eh, mga soldiers, mga dynastiya, emperors hehe.

Tapos hhmm ano pa ba... ayun when we got on the very top, nakaka inis lang din because we did not have time to take pictures or i-feel man lang yung view because super dami ngang tao, parang moving line kasi kami so parang nag mamadali kami bumaba kasi nga na-nunulak na ang mga asa likod as if Star Wars premier night sya! kape! Kaya yun kulang nalang gumulong ako pababa, tulakan kasi.

But all in all, the experience and the wall are really worth it! It was fun because all of my collegue including the Captain hehe pero kakainis because I do not have enough picture huhu I hope that I will have this flight again but this time sana may kasama akong barkada or friend man lang hehe and I haven't been to The Forbidden City :( kasi under removation daw that time, o diba pag minamalas nga naman hay.. :(

My BOHOL Trip!!

Hay at last! nakapag tour na din ako sa probinsya hehe I just arrived from my leave. I went to Bohol, so first time ko na talagang malayo sa sibilisasyon hehe. I heard that Bohol is a great place to be so ayun nag decide ako to go there. Tas ayun fresh air! sa wakas! hindi panay artificial oxygen sa eroplano haha Ayun true enough maganda nga sya, syempre we went to the famous chocolait hills. Okay sya because madami sya, hehe ewan ko lang why chocolait eh muka lang namang mga butlig hehe I read the history and the what about of the chocolait hills, basta sabi na coral daw yung nasa ibaba tas dagat kaya nag iiba ng color depende sa panahon haha actually Im not sure kasi super labo nung nakasulat dun sa bakal na babasahin, in short di ko sya masyadong na-gets hahaha pero amazing din kasi nga dati asa Sibika book ko lang yun but now ayan I saw it with my own eyes hehe

Then of course I went sa beach! at first parang "eto na yun?" pero nag island tour kami and there was this island called Virgin, kasi nga di pa sya napapatayuan ng something. Ang ganda! sand bar! parang baha lang sya na nakapalibot sa island. Ganda mag propose dun! nhaks! haha tas we saw this island pa nga na maliit ten I asked manong kung ano meron dun, he said that dun daw nilalagay mga pusa...I was like "what?!" pusa? kala ko may ibang meaning, pusa pala talaga! haha mga matatakaw daw na pusa sa Panglao hehe. Kaloka baka mamaya mga tiger na yun dun sa forest haha! But of nag dolhin watching kami. Pero yung dolphins parag ang dumi kasi black yung color or naka shades lang ako nun haha pero amazing hehe! I wasn't able to take pictures nga lang kasi ang bibilis nila lumagoy and bigla silang nag vavanish ehehehe

Then we went snorkeling, dami isda the Manong bought a tinapay tas ayun nag silapitan mga isda so binato ko bigla yung tinapay, takot ako eh. The whole time I was just beside the boat or my friends kasi Im scared especially when I look dun sa water na wala ako makita, blue lang. Takot ako kasi baka biglang may sumalubong na pating haha...well kakanuod ata ng discover and national geo! haha I'l tell you a secret, I love swimming and going to the beach but I cannot ddo it alone kasi nga baka may pating haha ang catch dito is pati sa pool takot ako hahaha

Bohol is a nice place, It's pretty tahimik compared in bora or batanggas i guess. If you want to have a peaceful vacation in a beach, siguro mag Bohol ka na. Sarap din pala ng food but it's expensive huhu I enjoyed every second of my vacation there and I felt that maganda talaga ang Pinas kahit saan ako nakarating eh talagang may laban tayo hehe. Ay we went papala sa river nila dun na ang linis, sumakay kami sa mala bangka na resto, so umaandar kami while eating..how nice! hehe

Next time siguro I will go to Cebu, Basta while im working and touring the world, pag vacation ko naman I'll tour the Pinas! Basta ang greatest achievement ko siguro is Palawan! Basta Kailangan ma-tour ang sariling atin hehe.

Our newly improved FLAT!

Hay...It's been 1 year when I arrived here in Dubai, and now lang ako namili ng things sa flat ko haha as in di ko ata naapakan living room ko hehe. But my bestfriend just moved here with me because my flatmate resigned already. We never thought that this will actually happen, we requested for a flat na mag kasama kami since forever so I am very thankful that the accomodation considered holding the other room for Cliff because he was in Manila nung na vacant sya.

(hindi yan flower design ha, parang sa board shorts design yan muka lang bulaklak sa malayo hahaha)
So when he moved here, we immediately bought stuff for the living room hehe syempre it was the first time for the both of us to actually spend money sa mga gamit kasi nga panay room namin, katamad gumatos sa living room na di mo masyaong buddy yung kasama mo di ba? I mean for us, we are really excited kasi were bestfriends eh. Pero of course bumili lang kami ng kaya sa bulsa and we haven't really bought alot, sa next sweldo na haha ang importante is to make it ayos para matambayan na namin and friends di ba? hehe. Yun nga lang we don't know how to cook yet, panay prito lang and the powers of delata hehe Cliff bought a cook book already so goodluck haha

Hay my room, ten years yan linisin haha hirap i-mantain ang laki kasi haha anyhoo I am just so happy that I never moved out here in my accomodation because according to my collegues, this is one of the best so far. Most of them kasi especially Pinoyski don't like the condo type na accomodation kasi walang binatana, maingay kasi asa kalsada and expensive yung mga bibilihin hehe while samin kasi its very homey because its more of villa type sya and parang huge version ng Melrose Place hehe and peaceful here sa location nito so you can really relax after a long and tiring flight. Though Cliff miss our friends dun sa apartment nya before, Hi Apes, Jo and mami Noe! kayo naman dumalaw samin here hehe

Ayan lang just wanna share the part 1 of the makeover, coming soon is our toilet, kitchen, dressing room and the veranda hehe!

DUBAI: The Place to be?

Hhhmm Dubai... actually before, when I was still in Pinas, I always hear Dubai... Si ganito nag Dubai, yung pinsan ng kapatid ng friend mo nag Dubai, yung elementary teacher mo nag Dubai. Basta all I know its in the Middle East hehe then eto na lumabas ang movie na Dubai haha so sige matawa na kayo pero aaminin ko na, pinanuod ko sya hehe eh bakit ba eh maganda yung Milan na movie ni Claudine so pinanuod ko din ito hehe. And that time I had plans na for applying as a cabin crew na base here in Dubai nga.

So ayun I watched the movie and had bits of background about Dubai, basta what I really remembered was you can leave your bag anywhere and no one will attempt to steal it haha but I haven't tried it yet, takut ako eh hehe. Til now I don't know whats the reason behind it, is it because peeps here are rich or mahirap na makulong dito kasi bitay na garote ang parusa...ata. Basta alam ko pag nahuli kang drunk then you have no liquer license, mamili ka! 80 slashes or 3months in prison haha kaya ako ice tea nhaks hehe. But kidding aside, I guess Dubai is a safe place naman especially with the ladies, untouchable nga ata sila dito. Its unfair! its unfair! haha

But to tell you the trueth, when i arrived here eh di ko na-feel that I was in a different part of the world because para naman syang Pinas, the ambiance, the look, para syang Ayala hehe unlike in European countries na talagang ma-fi-feel mo na asa kakaiba kang lugar. At eto ang the best, when you go to the mall, kahit saang mall ha, it will remind you of SM kasi...surprise mga 80% ng tao ay...Pinoyski haha so I was glad naman kasi whenever I'm in a shop tas complicated i-explain, I'll just ask them "Is there any Filipino here?" hahahahaha eh para mabilis na diba! Kapagod mag english eh hahaha. Tyaka here in Dubai, traffik din everwhere lalu na pag rush hour...ang nakakatawa ika nga sa bestfriend kong si Cliff, traffik sya tapos you'll wonder why baka may nasiraan, baka may aksidente, baka sira traffik light...pero pag natumbok mo na ang source of traffik, eh wala lang pala dadaan ng tulay kaya pala traffik hahaha yun lang or bigalng umambon tas ka-gulo na mga driver dito haha kasi nga nag babago na din climate here. Many people said that di daw umuulan dito at all tas ngayon aba pouring rain ang drama kaya rresulta ay...bilis mag baha kasi dessert nga toh before so they did not make a kanal or imburnal for the water to get thru.

I can say that ang yaman ng Dubai, makikta mo sa mga bagay bagay dito like bulidings, malls etc. The buildings here are unique, may asa dagat, meron mala ginto, may parang monggol pencil, may hugis wave at kung ano ano pa. Dito din ginagawa ang tallest building na bamboo inspired o diba san ka pa! anung sabi?! hehe kaya naman they say na If your an engineer or an architect eh yayaman ka dito. Pero teka mura din dito ang cars because walang tax dito saya diba! kaya naman normal nalang mga jag and yung mahal din mahirap banggitin eh basta yun. Wala lang you'll see theme everywhere. Yes, developed na nga ang Dubai pero may dessert part pa naman sya like dyan in my picture hehe. Pati pala taxi dito ay mababa....kayo na mag kumpleto haha pero okay sakanila di sila nagagalit pag mala school bus tipong manunundo ka ng apat na friends mo hehe and walang tip tip dito noh eh kung mag drive sila daig pa roller coaster! hehe pero may mga mababait naman karamihan mga Pinoy barkada nila. There was a time nga na he was playing a freestyle cd "bakit ngayon ka lang" then i asked him "do you understand the song my friend?" aba he explained it to me nga! kape! hehe

Siguro for us Pinoy dubai is the new Saudi..tama ba or same lang yan hehe. But then again, its not a walk in the park when you go here. Of course theres still the challenge of getting a good job and accomodatin kasi super mahal dito. Kaya most of the jobs here may kasama nang accomodation and transpo going to work. Kaya bilib ako sa Pinoy eh! hard working talaga wala ako masabe yeeeeessss! halatang miss na ang Pinas.

Why invade MCDONALD'S?

Natatawa pa din ako hahaha di bagay sakin mag blog talaga haha. Anyhooo I know some of you have seen my photos in friendster or in my multiply account and lots of people gave their comments dun nga sa "MCDO INVASION" na yan hehe. For those of you who do not know what it is, well It's my pa-uso lang, photos of me in Mcdo, in different countries that I have been to. It all started before I went here in Dubai, since I love fastfood and buong college ata 80% of break eh asa Mcdo kami, I said to my friends that I will visit Mcdo in every country na mapupuntahan ko and I will taste their meals and differentiate it with each other haha and wala lang sabi ko lang kasi parang meron talagang Mcdo sa buong mundo. So for me, It was a challenge as well na everytime I'm going somewhere eh dapat I have to see/go to a Mcdonald's. Natatawa nga mga crew sakin because that's the 1st quetion I asked them "Is there a Mcdonald's nearby?" haha syempre they just laugh and thought that I am just joking. Eh actually mukang ngang ewan if they do not know my mission diba? parang dami dami lugar na makikita tas una kong hinahanap Mcdo haha. Ayun lang hehe.

Apparently lahat ng Mcdo mag kakalasa lang haha especially yung fries, siguro the difference lang is each country may food sila na..hhmm pano ka ba explain, parang halimbawa here in dubai they have arabic burger something tapos sa european conuntry may salad thing tas sa china ata may noodles hahaha joke ewan pero they have specific meals na hilig ng tao kung san yung lugar. Like for us Pinoyski hilig natin rice! sa iba my god walang kanin and walang chicken! nuggets meron pero yung chikcen mismo wala! and san ka pa?! satin lang pala may Mcspaghetti haha! dun ako natawa and eto pa wala silang GRAVY!? diba bat ganun?! eh di naman natin ma-dedeny na di kumpleto pag walang kanin or gravy haha! and yung mga size ng food nila mismo malalaki, giant sizes eh kasi nga di ba lalaki nilang tao hehe. Well ayan yun hehe unfortunately hindi na sya masyadong nadadagdagan kasi wala na akong ibang ginawang flight kundi Manila hehe. So I therefore conclude that Pinas pa din ang the best na Mcdo kasi all food are made for Pinoys! hehe to see all my Mcdo Invasion photos just visit my multiply account! hehe

My 1st Time...

Hi guys! hehe I never thought that I would create a blog, parang hindi kasi bagay sakin haha and katamad kasi dapat lagi akong may katabing dictionary haha anyhoo welcome to my blog, feel free to visit and read my kalokohan in life. I'll start siguro by introducing myself, I am Paolo 22 years of age, yes 22 lang po ako 1984 ako pinanganak! o may aangal pa? hehe I work in as a Cabin Crew and I am based here in Dubai. Mga 1 year na din ako dito pero syempre there's no place like home. I took up Multimedia Arts in CSB, and this is my first job...walang konek ano po? haha

Eh I grabbed this opportunity na din, sayang eh. Tyaka ever since I was a little kid eh na mamangha nako sa wonders of the world! and siguro frustrated lang din kasi imagine ha i haven't been to any place in Pinas, well except Bora and Baguio, eh aminin naman natin parang Manila lang din yun ;p So now I am really enjoying traveling. Minsan nga mga kalipad kong ibang lahi natatawa sakin kasi kung mamangha ako eh halos maluha ako hehe I'm a mababaw na person din kasi makapunta lang ako sa lugar na nakita ko sa movie eh kagulo nako hehe

Pero syempre hindi ko makaka ila na dyan sa Pinas eh miss na miss ko, good thing I manage to have Manila Flight every month, twice pag swerte tatlo pa nga minsan. Happy naman ako dito sa Dubai kasi dami ko naman friends here and my bestfriend Cliff is here na din naman and magiging mag flatmates na kami at last kaya Cliff bumalik ka na tama na pasarap dyan sa Pinas hehe

I guess that's about it na muna hehe ano what you think not bad ba ang first time ko? hehe chao!
